Reports to: Clinical Psychology Department Chair Status: 12-month, half time position Specific Duties: The Clinical Psychology Advising Analyst/ Administrative Coordinator: • Performs general Departmental administrative and office tasks including communication in a responsive and timely. Requires meeting and greeting students, answering phones, responding to emails, taking messages, scheduling appointments, managing calendars, checking voicemails, communication with faculty and students about policies and deadlines; tracking due dates for Chair/faculty; processing check requests and performing other budgetary tasks; ordering Department academic and office supplies. • Carries out the responsibilities for advising and course registration as given to faculty advisors in the NDNU Academic Advising Handbook to approximately 125 students in the Clinical Psychology Department, in collaboration with the Department Chair and Academic Director (AD). Includes being knowledgeable of Departmental Handbooks and policies. o Includes collaborating with the Chair, AD, and Registrar around advising, academic planning, and registration decisions including exceptions (transfers, course substitutions, etc.). o Includes performing academic/advising tasks as delegated by the AD. • Event planning, including with special projects assigned by Chair and faculty for Departmental academic, professional, and social events including room reservation, catering, flyers, etc. Available for special events as requested. • Participates in student recruitment efforts including Graduate Information Forums; scheduling admissions interviews; collaborating with admission tasks. • With Chair, generates faculty contract worksheets, submitted to Dean’s Office; assists with developing course schedule, submitted to the Registrar’s office; orders textbooks and uploads course texts onto portal. • Tracks paperwork for new faculty hires in Clinical Psychology • Supports Department on academic programs, growth, and development, as needed, including with accreditation, the Program Review, and Clinical Training Team tasks including intern files, BBS intern certification, and Practicum Faire. • Manages student files including development of advising files; labels. • Collaborates with faculty and Web Coordinator to maintain web page as needed. Requirements: • Master’s Degree or equivalent preferred. • Experience advising/teaching at the university level • Experience with administrative tasks • Excellent computer skills, including of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Detail-oriented, independent worker with strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, written, and customer service skills.
