Position Summary: The College of Business at Oregon State University invites applicants for an anticipated full-time (1.0 FTE), nine-month, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor or tenured Associate Professor position in Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management beginning September 16, 2015. Candidates who have been tenured and promoted to Associate Professor at their current institution may be considered for the tenured OSU Associate Professor position.

Expectations include high-quality teaching and scholarly activities that result in organizational behavior/human resource management publications in leading peer-refereed journals.

At the Assistant Professor level, candidates are expected to establish a program of research/scholarship that leads to timely promotion in rank and the granting of indefinite tenure, with evidence for potential for research and scholarly publication.

At the Associate Professor level, candidates are expected to have evidence of organizational behavior/HR management research disseminated in high-quality peer-reviewed publications.

Moreover, faculty are expected to engage in appropriate service activities both within the university and their profession. Finally, faculty are expected to be collegial members of the unit and to exhibit a code of behavior appropriate to a professional educator.

The College of Business at OSU is growing rapidly, and will move in to our new $50M LEED Silver equivalent building in fall 2014. Position Duties: For Assistant Professor level:
45% Teaching
Primary teaching duties include undergraduate and graduate courses in Human Resource Management.

45% Scholarship
Demonstrated through the dissemination of research results, including but not limited to, peer-refereed scholarly journals. Other contributions may be considered.

10% Service
Engaging in appropriate activities both within the University and their profession, and contributing to the College and University strategic initiatives.

For Associate Professor level:
40% Teaching
Primary teaching duties include undergraduate and graduate courses in Human Resource Management.

40% Scholarship
Demonstrated through the dissemination of research in high-quality, peer-reviewed publications. Other contributions may be considered.

20% Service
Engaging in appropriate activities both within the University and their profession, and contributing to the College and University strategic initiatives.

Working Conditions/Work Schedule:

Minimum/Required Qualifications: Ph.D. from an AACSB-International accredited university or equivalent, with an emphasis in Organizational Behavior or Human Resource Management or closely related field, must be earned by start date.

Successful candidates for Assistant Professor will have evidence of potential for research and scholarly publication.

At the Associate level, candidates will have evidence of organizational behavior/HR management research dissemination in high-quality peer-reviewed publications.

Candidates also need to demonstrate potential for teaching high-quality courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

Preferred (Special) Qualifications: Teaching experience at the university level.

Willingness to teach online and hybrid courses.

Relevant professional non-academic work experience and ability to develop strong linkages with the business community, and

A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.

Scholarly Outcomes for Position (academic faculty only): Assistant Professor level: 45% scholarly activities are expected to result primarily in leading peer-refereed journal publications. Other contributions may be considered.

Associate Professor level: 40% scholarly activities are expected to result in dissemination of research in high-quality peer-refereed journal publications. Other contributions may be considered.
