The University has achieved remarkable growth over the past nine years --- enrollment has tripled, over $70 million has been invested in state-of-the-art technology, with another $50M planned as the $2.1B expansion plan continues. Academic programs and the campus have been transformed. The University now seeks a dynamic executive who will provide strong strategic and operational leadership for the office of graduate admission. As a visionary leader, the Associate Vice President (AVP) for Graduate Admissions will develop a strategic plan that will clearly guide the future direction of graduate admissions. Equally important will be the development of an effective organizational structure to help direct and facilitate future decisions and investments.

The Position

The AVP for Graduate Admissions will be responsible for meeting or exceeding graduate admissions goals and enrollment targets, developing and managing marketing, promotion, and recruitment plans, and planning and implementing outreach and communications with prospective students and external partners as part of a strategic recruitment plan. The AVP will also be responsible for managing the application review process, implementing University approved admissions policies and procedures, coordinating and managing communications with prospective and admitted students and managing marketing and tactics related to recruitment strategies, including creating a comprehensive communications plan. Conducting on-going strategic analysis of market trends, competitors, and key factors shaping the respective graduate program markets and their inquiry and applicant pools, utilizing the most effective recruitment strategies and analytics to attract outstanding students to graduate programs, developing and providing enrollment reports, analysis and projections and collaborating with other University departments and offices as necessary are also expected. The AVP for Graduate Admissions supervises three staff members and reports to the Executive Vice President. A key challenge and priority for the new AVP for Graduate Admissions is to plan and develop systems and processes that support the recruitment of outstanding students to the proposed programs in Pharmacy, Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant Studies as well as to increase enrollment in existing graduate and future graduate programs currently under development.

The Associate Vice President for Graduate Admissions will have at least six years of leadership experience in graduate admissions; a minimum of a master's degree; demonstrated success and experience in developing, implementing and evaluating recruitment, enrollment, and marketing strategies from a best practice, data-driven perspective, including the use of social media and information technology as well as enrollment analytics.
