Director of Institutional Effectiveness

The Director manages the research and outcomes assessment activities of the College; directs institutional effectiveness processes; and oversees reporting requirements for all external funding sources and accreditation agencies. The Director provides oversight responsibilities to the college’s assessment initiatives. Required qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data for the college’s continuous improvement; demonstrated work experience in microcomputer equipment; demonstrated competencies in word processing software; demonstrated competencies in spreadsheet and database software; ability to independently evaluate work performance, to motivate personnel, and to modify behavior and performance where needed; ability to assign, supervise, review, and evaluate the work of subordinates in a fair, impartial, and independent manner; ability to establish and maintain collaborative and effective relationships with faculty and staff; ability to understand and apply management principles concerning budgeting, personnel costs, overtime expenses, while providing the necessary and proper customer service; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies both within and outside the college; ability to travel inside and outside the college district. Desired qualifications: Master’s Degree in a related field; five years experience in institutional research, preferably in a community college, with increased levels of responsibilities; research and assessment experience in higher education; experience in program planning and fiscal management; experience in reporting to external accreditation and funding agencies; experience with Datatel Colleague. Position is full time: 52 weeks/year, 40 hours/week.
