Job Description Under general supervision, perform a variety of technical and administrative duties involved in the daily operation of the University Technology Services Help Desk. Serve as the single point of initial contact at UTS in order to provide broad, IT-related support and solutions to all USC customers, based on the ITIL methodology, specifically incident management, problem management, knowledge management, change management, and service request fulfillment. Customers include USC faculty, staff, students, parents, guests, affiliates, retirees, and other internal and external customers of the University.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1 year experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, or processing of information in a data processing environment. ;or high school diploma and 5 years experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, or processing of information in a data processing environment. Requires the ability to provide technical support to end users over the telephone, through email and through other service management tools. Must have a working knowledge of common operating systems and software, and troubleshooting methods. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Must have the ability to deal courteously and effectively with the public and work as an effective team member. Must be able to accurately analyze a work request, work within established guidelines, and maintain accurate documentation. Previous customer service experience providing technical support is strongly desired.
