Assistant Director, Research Admin

Position Summary: The Assistant Director for Research Administration is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Institute for Global Health & Infectious Diseases, overseeing the finance and other business operations for a 50 million global research and service operation.
Education Requirements: Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required; will accept a relevant undergraduate degree in business, health care, public health or public administration and 5-7 years of relevant experience in substitution. Master's Degree preferred, but not required, and 3-5 years relevant experience will substitute. Master's Degree preferred in business, health care, public health or public administration and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
Qualification and Experience: Five to seven years experience in managing a large organization and budget, with experience in the direct supervision of service staff. Extensive experience in research administration must be clearly evident. The position requires the expertise to work independently, to diagnose a wide range of research, technical, and administrative problems, and to identify and implement solutions to those problems. Patience, the ability to multi-task and prioritize essential to success in this position.
