FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of English seeks an Instructor or Assistant Professor to start Fall 2014.  Candidate should be prepared to teach undergraduate ESL courses in developmental reading and writing.

Performs teaching, research, and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

For Assistant Professor:
An earned doctorate (TESOL).  Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
 
For Instructor:
Master's degree in TESOL, and/or active progress toward a Doctorate, or equivalent.  Also required are the ability to teach successfully, interest in productive scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.

COMPENSATION

Instructor:  $39,399 - $65,267
Assistant Professor:  $42,873 - $81,645
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
