HR Representative III

Reporting to the CHRO, this HR Representative III partners with HR professionals in providing high quality service to managers and employees in HR matters. Manages and implements projects, represents senior HR leadership in gathering information, reviews and analyzes data, creates content, conducts research and provides support to senior HR leadership.

Key Functions and Expected Performances:

  • Project Management, Support and Implementation
    • Supports and guides projects, including research, coordination with campus partners, providing updates and staffing meetings
    • Communicates with managers to learn about areas of concern, gather current practices, test proposed revisions and preview changes
    • Drafts and edits documents, presentations, graphic displays
    • Gathers, reviews, synthesizes and presents information and data
    • Assesses processes and develops process mapping or work solutions
    • Effectively uses HR project management methodology and technology
    • Maintains very high level of coordination with HR partners (HRIS, service delivery teams, communication, compensation, etc.).
    • Integrates projects into the HR department project list
    • Provides research and administrative support during large initiatives like union contract negotiations, changes in HR policies and practices, HR support of institutional priorities
  • Representing HR department and leadership
    • Provides support in gathering background information and data for leadership presentations or agency hearings
    • Facilitates groups to support project work
    • Addresses HR questions and issues on behalf of senior HR leaders
  • Supporting Developing HR Practice
    • Routinely provides updates on trends, legal changes and best practices across the country to senior HR leadership
    • Assesses changes in national or regional best practice trends and recommends culturally sensitive revisions for Vanderbilt
    • Monitors webinars and other professional development opportunities for HR teams
  • Administrative Support to senior HR leadership
    • Manages calendar and other administrative responsibilities

This position requires a Bachelor's and 2 years of experience or the equivalent

Experience with Project Planning software & VISIO preferred
