Job Description Summary:

The primary focus of the role is to manage the prospective student relationship from the prospect stage through enrollment stage. A successful candidate will be able to manage multiple priorities, take initiative to identify opportunities and solutions, and have the ability to set and meet deadlines. Additionally they will have a strong attention to detail, organizational, interpersonal, persuasive skills, and work well in a team environment.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of appropriate experience. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.


Desired Qualifications:

Experience in higher education, customer service, or sales preferred.

Prior admissions experience preferred.

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with ability to speak publicly both in person and via web-based tools, i.e. Skype/WebEx.

Customer service and public relations skills, including the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals (prospective students, faculty, alumni, staff, and current students).

Ability to quickly learn CRM and database applications such as SalesForce, ApplyYourself or HobsonsConnect and accurately and efficiently perform required computerized tasks to include any combination of word processing, spreadsheet, database, PowerPoint, WebEx, email, internet or web-based applications.

Intermediate level word processing skills, intermediate spreadsheet and internet skills are preferred.

Successfully manage multiple priorities, take initiative to identify opportunities and solutions, and have the ability to set and meet deadlines.

Strong attention to detail, organizational, interpersonal, persuasive skills, and work well in a team environment.

Job Duties
  • Administration
    Manage the prospective student relationship from the prospect stage through enrollment stage, including coordinating prospective student mailings and direct mail outreach; contacting applicants with status updates; overseeing the applicant interview process including processing interview requests and scheduling appointments; conducting incomplete and interview audits; maintaining updated information in the Salesforce CRM; preparing admission records for admission committee review; processing admission decisions and admission packages; assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance customer service; responding to inquiries from program staff and applicants regarding application status. The position also supervises a staff of four undergraduate assistants to assist with overall work volume.

  • Enrollment/Recruiting
    Serve as a secondary contact for all inbound prospective student inquiries including walk-in, phone, email, and online chat for all GWSB and Digital Community offerings; counsel prospective students on GWSB academic program offerings and admission requirements; develop relationships with prospective students and program staff to facilitate a seamless admission process; assist with the recruitment of students for admission through information sessions, online chat sessions, and DC based recruiting events.
