Criminal Justice School Director Law Enforcement Training
The Criminal Justice School Director of Law Enforcement Training is responsible for the development, delivery, management, and supervision of all Law Enforcement Training Courses in accordance with guidelines established by the North Carolina Administrative Code. This responsibility includes courses delivered through Curriculum Programs as well as Continuing Education as well as other duties as assigned by the Dean, of Public Services. The Criminal Justice School Director shall answer directly to the Dean, of Public Services. Required Education/Experience Skills: Baccalaureate Degree in Criminal justice or related field from a regionally accredited College or University. The candidate must be currently certified as a Criminal Justice General Instructor through the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education Training & Standards Division with a minimum of five (5) years full-time work experience as a sworn North Carolina Law Enforcement Officer. Proficient computer skills in “Microsoft Office”, good public relations/oral communication skills, accompanied by a positive attitude and good work ethic. Must be a good team player and be committed to the “Open Door” philosophy. Preferred Education/Experience/Skills: In addition to the above required qualification, the College prefers candidates with previous experience as a Criminal Justice School Director or Qualified Assistant certified by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education Training & Standards Division or the North Carolina Sheriff’s Education Training & Standards Division of the North Carolina Department of Justice.
