Part-Time Admissions Data Steward

Job Description: Responsible for the interpretation, processing and integrity of academic documents such as applications, high school and college transcripts and requests for evaluation of transcripts. Maintains students' physical and electronic files and assures data accuracy and standardization. Assists with corresponding with students including the dispensing of information to students, both in person and in writing.

Duties of Position: Reviews student applications for completeness and codes application information as required. Enters application information onto the ERP system. Establishes and maintains student files, includes checking for transcripts and ACT/SAT scores. Receives, interprets and processes student academic data such as high school grade point average, class rank, college credit hours earned and related data. Determines appropriate admission status and associated requirements for general applicants as well as for student applying to limited enrollment and fast track programs. May prepare files for further academic screening for the Admissions Associates. Works in partnership with the Business Office in monitoring online application fee payments. Prepares and forwards application status, acceptance, and other relevant letters to students. Provides necessary troubleshooting for letter generation. Processes requests for evaluation of college transcripts including the accurate coding of information in the ERP system and utilizing associated reports to monitor the process and ensure defined time targets are met. Utilizes reports to monitor and ensure data accuracy defined through state and College standards in the ERP system. Monitors, interprets and provides for corrective resolutions in errors associated with applications unsuccessfully processed via the internet. Provides backup telephone and counter assistance. Provides admission information to prospective students and general information to current students. Assists both general and selective admission students in problem solving and refers individuals to appropriate resources as needed. Assists with the training and supervision of temporary staff and student aides. Assists in the proactive monitoring of office supply inventory. Purges student files on an annual basis. Performs related duties as assigned.

Education Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent with minimum 45 wpm, keyboarding skills.

Experience Requirements: Two years general office experience. Customer service, record keeping experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office required.

Special Requirements: Work is primarily indoors and sedentary in nature. Work may involve light lifting up to 10lbs. and moving about in the Student Center Building.
