Description

Responsible for assisting faculty in the humanities and social sciences obtain external funding for research and scholarly activities.  Facilitate the development of competitive proposals. Assist faculty and graduate students in understanding and navigating the applicable administrative procedures, processes, and requirements of the University, funding agencies, etc.
 
Key Functions and Expected Performances:
 
  • Identifying information on faculty and College research interests
  • Proactively consulting with faculty and graduate students
  • Facilitating the development of competitive grant proposals
  • Providing workshops on grant writing and related topics for relevant faculty and graduate students
Preferred Education, Skills, and Experiences:
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated success in grant writing
  • Familiarity with public and private funding sources
  • Commitment to the academic enterprise
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
Additional Information:
  • This position reports to the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty in the College of Arts & Science


Basic Qualifications


This position requires Bachelor's and 3 years of experience or the equivalent.  Advanced degree in relevant field preferred.
