Work is performed closely with and under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Financial Aid. Training and Experience: Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, business or a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience. The ability to operate modern office machines, word processors and personal computers is required. Must have good communication skills. Testing Requirements: Illustrative Examples of Work: Provides information and applications for financial aid, and counsels with students and parents seeking financial aid. Review the academic status of aid applicants. Prepare financial aid packages based on compliance with regulations. Verify and validates FAFSA applications as flagged by the Department of Education. Collaborate with the staff in the offices of Admissions, Records, and Financial Operations in processing payments for students who are eligible for aid programs. Conducts entrance and exit interviews for Stafford loan recipients and aids with default management efforts. Conducts loan counseling workshops. Assist the director with on-campus and off-campus recruitment activities. Assist in administering the day-to-day functions of the office. Performs other duties as required.
