The University of Rio Grande and Rio Grande Community College (Rio Grande), located in southeastern Ohio, seeks nominations and applications for the position of President. Rio Grande is a unique educational partnership between a comprehensive private university and public community college that aims to educate and prepare students for reaching their career and professional goals, living fulfilling lives, and being responsible citizens in a culturally diverse, global community.
Barbara Gellman-Danley, Ph.D., has served Rio Grande with distinction since 2009 and is now leaving to serve as President of the Higher Learning Commission. The new President will have the opportunity to work with a strong leadership team and dedicated faculty and staff in advancing the mission of Rio Grande, implementing the Decade of Dreams strategic plan, and in shaping the academic program, while expanding marketing and other revenue growth strategies. The successful candidate for this position will be a broadly-prepared and experienced leader, not necessarily limited to higher education, with a strong track record of professional achievement, and a deep passion for the mission and the high value of a Rio Grande education.
