Position Summary: The University of North Carolina invites applications for a full-time, open rank, tenure track position in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry beginning July 2015. We are seeking an outstanding clinician, educator and scientist who will serve as the Pediatric Dentistry Graduate Program Director or could transition into the position in 1-2 years. Other expectations include teaching pediatric dentistry in the graduate and DDS programs and conducting research in related areas. Outstanding opportunities exist for teaching and curriculum development, research in new state of the art facilities, and participation in an active intramural faculty practice. Appointment and rank will be determined by the applicant's qualifications and specific areas of interest and expertise.
Education Requirements: A DDS or DMD degree or equivalent degree, certificate from a Pediatric Dentistry program, board certification in Pediatric Dentistry.
Qualification and Experience: The ideal candidate must have excellent leadership, mentorship, administrative and organizational skills. Previous teaching and research experience are required. Evaluation of applicants' qualifications will be based on experience, accomplishments, and current scholarly activity.
