FT Assistant Professor - Accounting (Regular)

Salary Range: Faculty Salary Schedule - Commensurate with degree and experience
Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Accounting or closely related field. Experience in course and program-wide assessment. Experience with curriculum development. Experience teaching financial accounting at intermediate level
Minimum Qualifications: Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) A minimum of a Master's Degree is required in Accounting or a closely related field. (An equivalent combination of significant education/certification/directly relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of Master's Degree requirement.) Teaching Accounting at the college level is required. Work experience in financial, cost, taxation, or accounting systems is required.
Responsibilities: **Interested applicants should submit their applications by May 16, 2014.** Responsible for full-time faculty workload per the Faculty Association Agreement, which primarily includes teaching courses in a variety of delivery modes in Accounting. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: collaborating in course coordination, development and improvement; advising students and meeting scheduled office hours; orienting and mentoring faculty colleagues; and participating on departmental, divisional and college-wide teams. Must demonstrate a commitment to diversity and student success initiatives; participate in course assessment; work effectively in a team-based environment; support continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy; and, remain current in both subject area and teaching methodologies.
