Associate Director, Women’s Resources

Center for Student Diversity

The Center for Student Diversity (CSD) is seeking an Associate Director, Women’s Resources to provide administrative and managerial leadership for the CSD with an emphasis on providing support for Women’s Resources and ensuring that the provided services and initiatives contribute to, and address, the intellectual, social, and developmental needs of women and men students. The Associate Director will also educate the campus community about sexist social structures and assist in creating a healthy campus climate that affirms women students.  

Responsibilities: The Associate Director will oversee the daily operations of the program, including budget management and supervision of student interns and volunteers; collaborate with a broad range of campus entities to create and execute a calendar of programs and activities that focus on feminist and womanist issues, sexism, gender equity, and mature women’s issues; coordinate, develop, and promote leadership development and educational programs through publications, personal development seminars, conferences, retreats, forums, and mentoring; collaborate with stakeholders to provide educational, prevention, and intervention initiatives in relation to sexual assault and domestic violence; participate in advancing social justice and diversity initiatives; administer the financial awards and the Charlotte W. Newcombe Scholarship, including the selection and advising the cohort of award recipients; and assist with other duties within the Division as assigned.

Requirements: Master’s degree and three years of experience working with underserved/underrepresented student populations required; knowledge of Higher Education, specifically in women and gender issues; and experience with organizing volunteers, interns, and graduate students. A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
