Job Description Summary:
The Admissions Enrollment Counselor for Graduate/Adult & Nontraditional Students is responsible for the recruitment of graduate, adult and nontraditional students under the direction of the Associate Director of Graduate/Adult & Nontraditional Students.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Two year of experience in graduate, adult and nontraditional aged students, transfer and international admissions.
Working knowledge of financial aid processes for graduate/adult and non-traditional students.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Ability to travel is required.
Night and Weekend work is required.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to prospective students, parents, staff, administration and faculty.
Exhibits excellence in customer service.
Strong collaborative and team-oriented skills.
Demonstrate working with computers and data that support recruitment/enrollment goals.
Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze reports and set conversion goals.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in an organized and efficient manner in an environment that requires one to be able to work effectively both independently and as a team member.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree.
Three to five years of experience in graduate, adult and nontraditional aged student admissions.
Experience with Banner.

Essential Duties Summary :
Serve as the recruiter for graduate/adult/non-traditional students new to higher education to provide information and assistance from the point of inquiry through enrollment.
Crafts an annual graduate/adult/non-traditional student recruitment plan to achieve enrollment targets.
Participates in graduate/adult/non-traditional fairs and individual visits to colleges/universities to build relationships with relevant academic departments and career counseling personnel.
Meets regularly with Graduate Deans to develop enrollment goals, learn enrollment limits in specialized programs and discuss best practices for getting completed files to the colleges for admission decisions.
Creates and maintain all communication flows with graduate, adult and nontraditional students.
Represent Armstrong Atlantic State University at all graduate/adult and non-traditional education events.
Plans and manages on-campus recruitment events with the events coordinator and in cooperation with graduate program directors and Deans.
Insure that all graduate/adult/non-traditional student achievements are directed to the Marketing Director to incorporate in outcome, marketing materials.
Manage recruitment cycles from inquiry through enrollment to reach/exceed enrollment goals.
Coordinate and consult with graduate program directors and the Marketing & Communications office to ensure all promotional literature and websites are relevant, current and on par with our competitors.
Where appropriate, insure that graduate/adult and non-traditional applications are on line for easy access and processing.
Participate in advising updates to keep up-to-date on College programs and enrollment procedures.
Other duties may be assigned.
