Administration and Finance

The Associate Vice President (AVP) for Business and Fiscal Affairs will be one of several managers reporting directly to the Vice President for Administration and Finance/CFO. The successful candidate will provide management and leadership for the business and fiscal functions of the University. In conjunction with the Vice President for Administration and Finance, the candidate will also provide leadership and oversight for the purchasing and procurement, accounting and financial reporting, payroll, bookstore (STT), business services (STT), and campus housing functions of the University. The candidate will provide leadership in insuring that the accounting and business-related records and statements are maintained and reported in accordance with GAAP; the University's financial policies and effective controls are maintained; the University uses its resources effectively and efficiently; excellent customer service is provided; and perform all other related duties as assigned.

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 7 years of directly related full-time financial management/administrative accounting experience within a college or university is required. A Master's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
Proficiency in Banner is desirable;
Strong organizational, managerial, and interpersonal skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication and computer skills.

The salary for this position is $65,360-$105,250 per fiscal year. Benefits include a generous TIAA-CREF or the VI Government Retirement Plan, as well as, a comprehensive group medical, dental and life insurance program.

Travel & Shipping:
If applicable, one-way economy airfare to St. Thomas for appointee and immediate family; and a shipping allowance based on policy will be paid by the University upon presentation of receipts.
