Box 9020; Tyler, Texas 75711 JOB DESCRIPTION: This is a full-time duration nine-month faculty position responsible to the dean humanities, communication and fine arts and department chair, social sciences for the following: 1. Teaching 15 semester hours each fall and spring semester. 2. Maintaining office hours to be accessible as needed for student conferences. 3. Assisting in curriculum development and selection of instructional materials. 4. Assuming duties, including committee assignments over and above assigned classes and office hours. 5. Utilizing talents, academic background, and strong personal qualities to serve the best interest of students and the College. 6. Performing other duties as assigned by the dean or department chair. REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in history required. 2. Post-secondary teaching experience preferred. 3. Interpersonal skills which reflect total commitment to student development essential. 4. Experience teaching by Internet strongly preferred. SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with Established Schedule *This is a security sensitive position and a background check will be completed prior to hiring.
