Tutor, Part-time: Math/Sci.
Founded in 2005, Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) is the 31st member of the University System of Georgia. GGG is seeking Tutors of all subjects for Student Success courses and collegiate level courses.
The candidate must be able to work with a diverse group of people, communicate effectively, and work under minimal supervision and under deadline pressures. The ideal candidate will be highly adaptable, flexible, self motivated and proactive. The candidate must be a team player who is knowledgeable about tutoring issues and campus life. Must be flexible to attend and/or present at related offsite or on-campus workshops or professional development opportunities to enhance tutoring efficiency. Must be able to lead seminars or/and workshops for their peers and/or students within the GGC community which can be held either in the AEC or elsewhere on campus. Must be flexible to perform other related duties as assigned.
Hourly rate of $13.90
- Bachelor's degree.
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience.
- Ability to work with faculty, staff and students; excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude required.
- Masters or Doctorate (Ph.D.).
- Tutoring/teaching experience in higher education.

Position requires local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone and in writing. Job takes place in normal environmental conditions.
