Job Description Summary/Essential Duties:

Provides executive-level leadership, direction, coordination, and communication for the North Texas Community College Consortium (NTCCC), a regional Consortium with 22 community college and university members. Assures that the vision of NTCCC is realized each year: serving as a premier regional network providing high-quality, low-cost, close-to-home professional development opportunities for faculty members, administrators, and staff of member institutions. Responsible for providing leadership and direction for the Consortium by working closely with the 22 college and university members and their leaders through the Consortiums Board of Directors, Research and Institutional Effectiveness Committee, Consortium Leadership and Renewal Academy (CLARA), Conference and Event Planning Teams, CLARA Advisory Council, and other leadership groups. Communicating, cooperating, and collaborating with a number of other higher education organizations and their leaderslocal, regional, statewide, and national in sponsoring, co-sponsoring, or supporting in a variety of ways; professional development events and related activities in our geographical region. Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating all NTCCC professional development programs, events, and activities. Produce and deliver an outstanding year-long leadership training and renewal program through the Consortium Leadership and Renewal Academy (CLARA). Responsible for providing each institution member a Consortium presence, an awareness of the benefits and services of Consortium membership. Serving as a spokesperson and resource person for the Consortium with other groups: institutions, organizations, businesses, and community groups. Responsible for the effective overall leadership, management, and coordination for Consortium office staff and all Consortium office functions including financial planning and budgeting; database management; website information, upgrades, and maintenance; registration processes; equipment upgrades; technology applications; marketing and communication flyers, announcements, newsletters, briefings, and reports; and data collection and distribution. Supervision: Designs and executes a staffing plan to meet requirements through selection, training and supervision of assigned staff. Implementing policies and procedures as determined by the Consortium Board of Directors; assuring that these policies and procedures are in accord with the rules, regulations and laws of state and federal agencies; and are also in accord with policies and procedures of college and university members as they relate to the programs of the Consortium.

Master's degree or higher. Five years of management experience, including three years upper level administrative experience in a community college/higher education environment preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills to meet the needs of a diverse student population and staff, local leaders and varying levels of DCCCD staff.
