Educational Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Minimum of four years of experience in related field. A combination of education, experience and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature and Purpose of Position: Performs professional work in mentoring early childhood teachers, provides professional development opportunities, and assists/oversees data collection to fulfill the requirements of the grant.
Primary Responsibilities: Provides adult learning sessions, models classroom teaching strategies, assists and mentors the early childhood teacher with classroom practices. Travels to multiple locations providing between 50-70 hours of "in classroom" mentoring per month and 8-16 hours of professional development each month. Schedules all meetings, plans and prepares required grant documents and oversees child assessments. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications: This is a grant funded position. Continuation of the position is contingent upon continued funding. Position requires travel to multiple locations providing between 50-70 hours of "in classroom" mentoring per month and 8-16 hours of professional development each month.
