Job Description: East Carolina University College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a full time faculty position in the PhD, Doctor of Nursing Practice and Graduate division. Candidates may be considered for 12 month fixed-term, tenure-track, or tenured faculty at the title/rank of Assistant Professor or higher. Appointments are commensurate with education and experience. This concentration is taught in a face-face and/or online, distance education delivery format. Rated 5th in the country by US News and World Report for online graduate education, the College of Nursing has over 600 graduate students and is a front runner in preparing nurses to assume advanced practice and nurse researcher roles. Responsibilities include: Teaching in the doctoral (PhD and/or DNP programs), academic advising, developing and evaluating relevant courses, and participating in PhD dissertations/DNP scholarly projects while maintaining an active program of research. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A PhD Nursing is preferred or a closely related discipline with a graduate degree in nursing. Highly qualified candidates credentialed in any of the APN roles (CNM, CSN, CRNA or NP) with an established research agenda will be considered. Online teaching experience is preferred. Non-APN candidates with experience in Health Informatics with an established research agenda should also apply.

Minimum Qualifications: Tenure-track and tenured positions require a PhD. Fixed-term positions require a master's degree in nursing. A valid non-restricted NC nursing license is required upon employment. Two years of clinical nursing experience, approval to practice as a Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) in NC, National Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse, with clinical and teaching experience. The APN applicant must be eligible for hospital privileges as applicable. Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
