Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: post-high school education may substitute for experience at an equivalent rate.)

Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills. Experience in office practices and procedures, including filing and the operation of standard office equipment, using Microsoft Word and Excel or comparable software, basic data entry, and assisting clients/customers. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include occasional evening and weekend hours.

Background Check Requirements
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.

Responsibilities
Writes and edits news releases, feature stories, and print material content for the College of Education, including, but not limited to, the TORCH magazine, Annual Report, program brochures, and press releases.

Maintains and generates content for the College's social media channels, College of Education News Network (CENN) monitors and the COE website by monitoring usage and providing regular updates.

Assists with alumni relations and recruitment efforts, including, but not limited to, all promotional materials related to alumni relations and recruitment content, writing profiles and news releases as needed.

Helps plan and coordinate college-wide events.

Act as a back-up for and assist with graphic design needs as well as special projects as needed.

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
