Department: School of Business and Management Morgan State University invites nominations and applications for the position of Associate Dean in the School of Business and Management. The Search Committee will begin reviewing completed applications on May 5, 2014. The Associate Dean assists in the management of the School of Business providing support to the Dean in the areas of curriculum development, faculty development and oversight of all issues related to assessment and accreditation. Reporting to the Dean, the Associate Dean works collaboratively with department chairs, program directors, and appropriate faculty committees. S/he is responsible for student services: advisement, retention and graduation; represents the School in university venues, participates in university committees and other institutional activities. The position requires an earned doctorate from an AACSB accredited program in a business discipline and being AACSB academically qualified by the School’s policy. Candidates must have an established record of teaching, scholarship, and service meriting appointment at the rank of associate professor or higher. S/he must have a personal and professional commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Morgan State University’s AACSB-accredited School of Business. Two or more years of administrative experience as associate/assistant dean, program director, or department chair in a School of Business and experience with AACSB accreditation process is preferred.
