Payroll and Finance Specialist
Posting Description: The University of Colorado Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is recruiting for a Payroll and Finance Specialist to assist in management of day to day administrative duties including personnel and financial management.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or in a related field.
Required Competencies/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: *Ability to interpret complex rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines. *Experience that demonstrates strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to establish rapport with persons of diverse backgrounds which also includes experience working with students, staff, and faculty, within a higher education and/or academic medical environment. *Must possess a professional demeanor and have experience that demonstrates problem solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision. *The successful candidate will be detail oriented, self-motivated, a fast learner and possess excellent time management, organizational, written and verbal communication skills. *Ability to take direction and use independent judgment to coordinate various projects and meet multiple deadlines.
Desired Qualifications: Applicants with UCD/CHCO or other University work experience are preferred for this position due to duties involving personnel and finance. Experience with UCD Peoplesoft HR, Grants Management, and financials highly preferred. Experience monitoring, analyzing and tracking financial data related to internal budgets and finances. Ability to communicate effectively in written form which includes the ability to check for typographical, grammatical and spelling errors.
