Position Summary: The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Oregon State University invites applications for up to six (1.0 FTE), 9-month, tenure-track or tenured professorial positions in Computer Science and up to six (1.0 FTE), 9-month, tenure track or tenured faculty positions in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Appointment is anticipated at the Assistant Professor rank, but candidates with exceptional qualifications may be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. We seek candidates with a commitment to quality teaching and with demonstrated research strengths in the areas of databases, software engineering, computer vision, computer security, analog/RF and mixed-signal IC's and systems, distributed and embedded systems, communications, and energy systems. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to collaboration with other research groups in the School of EECS, with other departments at Oregon State, and with other universities.
Position Duties: 50% - Developing and conducting a viable research program, and the securing of grant and contract funding for it. Supervises and mentors graduate students.
40% - Teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science/Computer Engineering.
10% - Pursuing school and university service activities as assigned. Pursuing professional activities as expected from a professional computer scientist; liaison with local industry.

Minimum/Required Qualifications: Applicants should have an earned doctoral degree in Computer Science (CS), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or related field by the position start-date and demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality undergraduate and graduate teaching and the development of a vibrant research program.
For the Associate Professor level:
In addition to the above applicants must have a record of achievement in innovative and funded research programs and publication activity; demonstrated ability to establish effective university and industry relationships; and developed and taught high quality undergraduate and graduate courses that focus on the multi-disciplinary nature of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or Computer Science (CS).
For the Professor level:
In addition to the above, applicants must have a record of national or international recognition and collaboration; and service to the profession through organizing or governing committees of professional societies.
Preferred (Special) Qualifications: A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
Scholarly Outcomes for Position (academic faculty only): The scholarly outcomes for the position are expected to result from 50% of research and 40% of teaching.
