Position Summary: Responsibilities include comparative software analysis in an effort to translate functionality for the development and implementation of a new research based application, testing of newly-developed system modules prior to, during, and after QA phase; participating in teams structuring MSU's business practices to take full advantage of the new Kuali Coeus System being implemented; configuration analysis, and risk and gap analysis for system implementation; assists with analysis, configuration, and documentation of reporting and security needs; assists in the development of functional documentation for system modules for the implementation of the application; performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in business, accounting, finance, computer science, or related field; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience preparing proposals and developing budgets for sponsored research proposals in a higher education or comparable setting, including those to be submitted using Grants.gov; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; requires the ability to handle export controlled materials.

Desired Qualifications: Experience in a department, college-level, or central-university office preparing proposals and developing budgets for sponsored research proposals; ability to work independently and assume a broad range of responsibility; excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines; experience working with diverse populations; ability to develop and maintain collegial relationships within the unit and with external stakeholders; ability to maintain attention to detail amidst multiple, sometimes competing demands; comfortable speaking in front of groups.
