Chief Technology Officer
Linfield College - a private, undergraduate, liberal arts and sciences college serving over 2,400 students - seeks a new Chief Technology Officer to provide leadership and vision for Information Technology in a rapidly changing higher education environment. Reporting to the Vice President for Finance and Administration, the Chief Technology Officer is responsible for the successful oversight of all aspects of Linfield College computing, networking, and telecommunications and is integral in ensuring staff, facilities and services provide a proactive, service-oriented information technology program that supports the College’s mission. This includes long-range planning, financial management including contractual relationships, and development. The Chief Technology Officer drives the College’s information services programs on the McMinnville and Portland campuses including academic and administrative data management, network and telecommunications services, development and operations, educational technologies, end user support, web master and additional services as determined by the College. Interviews for this recruitment will commence in August 2014. Qualifications: A proven track record of success in management level IT, with a minimum of seven years of experience demonstrating extensive knowledge of principles and practices of computer resources management, campus-based information technology, telecommunications, and networking strategies. Expertise in organizational management, staff supervision, ability to develop and implement short- and long-range plans to meet organizational objectives. A Master’s degree is required. Prior work history at a higher education institution and the ability to work with a diverse student body, staff, and constituents is preferred.
