Remington College School of Nursing invites nominations for and applications from individuals interested in assuming an exciting leadership opportunity as Dean. Reporting to the Vice President for Operations and Academic Affairs, the Dean is the senior academic and administrative officer of the School and is responsible for providing the leadership and vision necessary for setting strategic, operational and financial directions. In those roles, the Dean has overall responsibilities for developing an effective collegial environment that supports excellence in teaching and service. This is a unique opportunity to lead a school with a stellar faculty, a strong academic program, and a developing graduate program. The current program consists of accelerated, second-degree students, who attend school full-time for one year to earn their BSN. NCLEX pass rates average 95% for first time test takers. With a strong institutional foundation and the clear commitment of the University’s leadership, the new Dean will have the opportunity to usher the School into a new era of growth and expansion of its academic programs. Requirements for the position include: •An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field; •A record of achievements in teaching and service; •Demonstrated excellence in leadership, administration and resource development; •Commitment to cultural and ethnic diversity; • The ability to work effectively and collaboratively with faculty, staff and other constituent groups.
