ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $21,063 - $30,019 Band 03, SC State Classification System HOURS: 7:30am - 5:30pm CAMPUS: Barton GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES In this challenging role, you will support the Child Development Center department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following: -Provide children with a developmentally appropriate learning environment at our NAEYC accredited CDC that will help them develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally in a two year old classroom. -Implement the learning curriculum (The Project Approach) to include the development of lesson plans, appropriate daily schedules, room arrangement, and enhancement of the learning environment. -Supervise the classroom and direct classroom activities. -Facilitate a variety of learning experiences where children can manipulate and explore a variety of materials and experience success. -Act as a positive role model. -Observe and record children's behavior as needed. -Use appropriate transition techniques. -Promote children's learning by supporting children's ideas and progressive skill development. -Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Associate's degree in child care development or a related field + 2 yrs work experience in education or child care programs. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with one year full time in a NAEYC accredited and Reggio inspired Child Development Center and an understanding of developmentally appropriate practice.
