Visiting Assistant Professor of Religion
COLGATE UNIVERSITY’S Department of Religion seeks candidates for a TWO-YEAR Visiting Assistant Professor in HINDUISM AND SOUTH ASIAN RELIGIONS to begin Fall Term 2014. Specialization is open, although concentration in the modern period is preferred. Training in Religious Studies and familiarity with problems and issues in the study of religion required. Completion of the Ph.D. is expected prior to or shortly after the date of hire. Ability to teach a course in “Health and the Body in Asian Religions” is desired. The successful candidate will contribute to Colgate’s Asian Studies program and its Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. Teaching load is 5 courses per year.
