Director, Freshman Retention Program (CONNECT)

The College currently seeks applicants for the newly created position of Director, Freshman Retention Program (CONNECT). The Director will assume responsibility for the launch, development and oversight of all academic support and retention services elements of the CONNECT Living Learning Community (LLC), an initiative designed to promote retention and propel graduation for beginning freshman in selected majors. The Director will work with staff and stakeholders to design and deploy an effective model of freshman advising that employs outreach and case management strategies. The Director will also define the scope and content of embedded academic support services. Candidates must have at least a Master's degree (Doctorate preferred) in higher education administration, student personnel services, education, counseling, or a discipline offered by one of the College’s four schools. Additional requirements include two to three years as a practitioner and two to three years as an administrator of academic success, advising, coaching, and/or outreach services in the higher education setting; demonstrated ability to establish cross-functional teams; experience developing and managing budgets.
