Working Title: Assistant Director of Development/Catamount Club

Posting Information: The successful candidate will have a visible role in the Western Carolina University Athletics Department working as a member of the Catamount Club Development team to meet and exceed annual fundraising goals for the Department of Athletics. The individual will be charged with managing a donor roster with specific focus on membership renewals, giving level upgrades, identification of new prospects, and gifts for specific sports. Other responsibilities include the coordination of special events and office duties of the Catamount Club. Under the direction of the Associate Director for Development/Director of the Catamount Club, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: ? The development, implementation, and execution of strategies, policies, goals, and objectives related to fundraising for Western Carolina University Athletics. ? Identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of annual fund donors and prospects. ? Responsible for the coordination of WCU Athletic fundraising special events including but not limited to the Catamount Golf Tour, Student Athlete Scholarship Banquet, Catamounts Unite Spring Tour, Team Reunions, and all game day donor events. ? Assist in the coordination of all marketing and promotions of the Catamount Club ? Assist in the management of direct mail communications with the donor base including solicitations and renewals ? Assist in the execution of all game day activities including Pre game events for Football and Basketball

Minimum Training & Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree required. Candidate preferably must have experience in fundraising and coordinating special events. This position involves local and occasional out of state travel. Flexibility, including necessity of frequent night and weekend work, is required. Degree must be from an appropriately accredited institution.
