Position Title: Managing Producer, MDC Live Arts Position ID: 394002 Salary: $60,474.00-$75,592.00 Location: Miami Dade College, Collegewide All applicants must apply online at www.mdc.jobs Job Description: The Managing Producer works closely with the Executive Director to advance department goals in education, program and resource development. Responsibilities include grant writing/compliance, and managing successful execution of performances and educational events, overseeing contracts, logistics, production and settlements. Duties & Responsibilities: Manages all logistics surrounding MDC Live Arts presentations and education events Creates and manages detailed production schedules for the season and each event Creates and manages artist, venue and other contracts as needed Serves as principal liaison with venue, box office and production staff Manages vendor relationships and payments Creates event settlements at the conclusion of each event Manages grant applications, acceptance and compliance in conjunction with Executive Director Oversees season accounting Develops and enacts models for customer and student feedback, such as surveys Creates and maintains organizational systems for optimum office operations Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: Masters degree and three (3) years of experience in responsible performing arts management and production roles; or Bachelors degree and seven (7) years of related experience All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution Possess experience and knowledge of best practices in the performing arts management field Possess high level of attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks and manage multiple priorities Knowledge and familiarity with performing arts technical production Possess excellent communication, grant writing and public speaking skills Ability to meet deadlines, work independently and problem solve Ability to effectively manage and track a budget Ability to supervise volunteers, interns, student assistants and fellow staff Ability to work well in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
