The Government of Saudi Arabia has entered into partnerships with leading colleges to provide technical training to Saudi students and to create a highly skilled national workforce. Algonquin College, has been selected as one of the education providers for this Colleges of Excellence (CoE) model initiated by the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC). Algonquin is actively recruiting for 3 Managing Directors for each of its three campuses. One for the Women’s Campus in Qatif, one for male campus in Qatif and one for the Jazan campus. The Managing Director will be accountable to the President of Algonquin College Canada. The Managing Director will provide executive leadership to the staff and ensure that the campus is successful in meeting the diverse educational and training needs of the college level post-secondary students and clients that it serves. The Managing Director will develop and optimize strategic linkages and partnerships with all levels of government, community, education, business, industry and international educational sectors to secure new educational and training opportunities in a competitive and diverse educational marketplace. Required Qualifications • A minimum of a Master’s degree in a related field is required (an appropriate doctoral credential is preferred). • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in progressively more senior positions of leadership and management within a multi-faceted environment. A minimum of 6 years of increasingly responsible experience in an academic environment. • Demonstrable record of supporting student access, student success and the applied teaching and learning. Proven commitment to high academic standards and exemplary program quality. • A record of supporting faculty and other college staff in their efforts to deliver a high quality learning experience for students. • Knowledge of strategic enrolment management and a proven record of implementing processes that widen access, increase retention / graduation rates and lead to graduate employment. • Record of implementing appropriate information communication and other academic technologies that enhance the overall applied learning experience for students. • Highly developed interpersonal and human resource management skills with the ability to influence and problem solve for the purpose of achieving a positive work / learning environment.
