The School of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a tenure track position in mathematics within the department of Mathematics. This appointment is expected to begin August 1, 2014. Review of applications will begin April 14, 2014 and will continue until the position is filled. Job duties include teaching both upper and lower division level mathematics courses including learning support mathematics courses as well as participating in departmental and college committees. Candidates will be expected to have a commitment to excellence in teaching, to professional development and serving students in a collegiate setting. In addition, the candidate will be expected to work cooperatively with others and be willing to teach both day and evening classes at the Brunswick campus or the Camden Center location as needed. Essential qualifications include an earned doctorate in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics from a regionally accredited institution. The successful candidate will be expected to teach all level of mathematics from developmental mathematics through calculus and linear algebra. The successful candidate will have a commitment to service learning and will be expected to engage with the college service learning program. Previous collegiate teaching experience is desirable. Other qualifications include organizational, meeting, interpersonal skills, computer literacy and the ability to utilize technology in the classroom. Apply at
