Duties: This is an executive level position reporting directly to the Dean of the School of Social Policy & Practice. The Director of Finance & Administration is the chief financial and administrative officer for the School, managing the Division of Budget and Finance, and providing leadership, support, and oversight to all of the School's administrative and financial functions including grants administration. The Director also will provide oversight of the Informational Technology function, and HR functions. Additional supervisory responsibilities may be defined and determined by the Dean. May require occisional nights and weekends.
Qualifications: Master's degree in related field and a minimum 7 to 10 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Extensive experience in academic environment with working knowledge of tuition revenue, financial aid, gifts and endowments, as well as grants and research administration. The ability to lead and anticipate changes in the financial and academic landscape and advise, counsel and persuade senior leadership team. Mastery of Microsoft Excel and competence with databases, particularly Business Objects, highly desired.
