Job Description Summary

The Coordinator, Interactive Communications will collaborate with department communications managers, creative and interactive team members to create and maintain an appropriate framework to facilitate effective communication through interactive communications channels. The Coordinator, Interactive Communications will monitor the effectiveness of those communications channels and serve as a resource within the department and across the College in relation to interactive communications.

Job Responsibilities

• Works with clients to enhance, edit and reformat existing and newly created content, including working on hosted solution projects
• Monitors workflow procedures in the content management system
• Communicates and maintains training information with content authors, owners and approvers and controls permissions in assigning users rights for assigned websites and workflows
• Constructs content templates to be used on pages while incorporating SEO into the model
• Creates periodic performance reports used in ongoing site traffic analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of the SEO strategy
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or related field
• Minimum of two years developing interactive content
• Minimum of five years of marketing communications experience

• Demonstrated understanding of keyword analysis, competitive site analysis, optimization of content, optimization of Meta tags, page titles and descriptions, and inbound/outbound link placement
• Strong analytical and logical skills
• Project and process management experience
• Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to interact successfully with all organizational levels
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills: self-directed and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects, adhering to tight and demanding deadlines
• Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education

• Knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Knowledge of SharePoint content management system
• Understanding of Google Analytics

Work Schedule

Standard College hours of business 8:30AM – 5PM, Monday – Friday.
