Primary Function of Organization Unit: University Housing, consistent with the academic mission of the University, strives to create positive growth environments for students by providing programs, services, and facilities that promote educational, social, and cultural development to more than 10,000 students living on the NC State campus.
Essential Job Duties: The Projects Coordinator will be responsible for creating and overseeing special projects that develop and implement educational and social programs, which will support the University, the Division of Academic and Student Affairs, and University Housing Department's Mission. Projects will support the academic mission of the University by providing students with a variety of programmatic and experiential learning opportunities and support resources that will enhance their academic experience. The Projects Coordinator will also: Develop Residence Hall Leaders through a variety of programmatic activities. Provide Living and Learning Village coordination support. Prepare marketing content for use in Departmental marketing efforts and lead area's social media outreach efforts through projects. Provide leadership in area assessment efforts. Supervise and provide oversight for two 24 hour desk operations. Provide key and card accountability oversight for a residential area of approximately 1,000 students. Provide general administration oversight for area of responsibility.
Department Required Skills : Supervision experience (of staff or students), evidence of strong project management skills, demonstrated program planning and implementation experience, and computer proficiency including Word, Excel, database management, and publishing software required.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: Master's Degree in Higher education or related field, experience developing initiatives and projects for college students, facilitation skills, and Residence Life experience preferred.
