Position Summary: The School of Writing, Literature, and Film invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure-track full/part-time Instructor positions to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2014-2015 academic year. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Director.

Instructors may be needed to teach on campus and Ecampus courses in the following areas: Composition, Technical and Professional Writing, Business Writing, Creative Writing, Intro to Literature and English-oriented ESL.

The primary mission of the School of Literature, Writing, & Film is undergraduate education. The department offers a BA and MA in English, as well as a MFA in Creative Writing.

Position Duties: 90% Instruction:

Will administer and teach undergraduate courses in the following areas: Composition, Technical and Professional Writing, Business Writing, Creative Writing, Intro to Literature and English-oriented ESL.

Instructors may be needed to teach courses during the fall, winter, spring, and/or summer terms.

10% Service
Committees and/or trainings.

Working Conditions/Work Schedule:

Minimum/Required Qualifications: MA, MFA, or MSTC in English or a related field.

Evidence of teaching writing at the college and/or university level.

Evident commitment to educational equity.

Preferred (Special) Qualifications: PhD in English or a related field.

A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.

Recommended Full-Time Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
