Advises students experiencing academic difficulty regarding college policies, procedures, and options in order to maintain their academic standing. Advises them regarding the implications of academic warning, probation, continued probation, and suspension status. Helps students find academic success and thereby, encourages retention. Explains policies, makes referrals, maintains records, interprets career interest and personality assessments, deals with a variety of academic standards issues, and coordinates standards issues with faculty and staff and other departments. Prepares statistical reports as required. Represents the department on various projects, committees, and meetings as assigned.

Graduation from an accredited institution with a master's degree in Counseling & Guidance, Educational Psychology, Social Work, or related Social Science field and two years of full time professional employment related to the Summary of Duties.
