Associate Director of West Coast Regional Recruitment-Southern California

The Associate Director of Regional Recruitment represents UMass Lowell at college fairs and high school and community college recruitment visits in Southern California and counsels prospective students and their parents regarding admission requirements, application process, academic programs, financial aid process and merit based scholarships, campus facilities and resources student organizations, and activities. The Associate Director of Recruitment plays a critical role in the enrollment of new students from Southern California and will also attend regional college fairs in Northern California and other west coast areas. The Associate Director is responsible for traditional freshmen and transfer recruitment activities, as well as reading and evaluating applications. The Associate Director of Admissions will also visit the UMass Lowell campus at various times throughout the year for trainings and Fall recruitment & Spring yield events. The Associate Director of Regional Recruitment will report to the Director of Outreach & Recruitment at UMass Lowell. **This position is initially for three years and is contingent upon funding and successful performance. Minimum Qualifications (Required): -Bachelor's Degree -3-5 years of experience recruiting undergraduate students; at least one year as a Regional Recruiter in California -Knowledge of EPS -The ability to work effectively with diverse groups -Demonstrated understanding of academic programs and opportunities at UMass Lowell Other Considerations: -Master's Degree -Strong familiarity with Microsoft office, ISIS and other university data systems. -Must have the ability to interact well with external agents (i.e.: Guidance Counselors, prospective students, parents, Transfer Advisors). Preferred: Graduates of UMass Lowell or individuals with demonstrated and thorough knowledge of UMass Lowell programs and opportunities for prospective students.
