Posting Description: The incumbent is responsible for participating in the implementation of day-to-day procedures for a federally funded research grant examining characteristics of geriatric patients with heart failure undergoing rehabilitation in skilled nursing facilities. Research Support 1. Performs all activities related to clinical research studies including but not limited to: Screening participants for eligibility and recruitment, obtains informed consent, educates participants regarding study requirements and completes case report forms (CRF). 2. Communicate with clinical staff in accessing subject data in the study sites. 3. Protect the rights of human subjects according to the protocol. 4. Collect data from clinical records. 5. Maintain liaison with skilled nursing facility personnel and providing progress as necessary. 6. Provide PI with weekly progress reports. 7. Assist in preparation of manuscripts and presentations in which the study results may be reported. 8. Participate in weekly research meetings 9. Assist with preparation of required progress reports to funding agency and additional requests for external funding. 10. Assist in the preparation of abstracts to submit to present study findings at scientific meetings Data Management and Quality Control/Assurance 1. Enter all collected data into web-based database. 2. Assist with data management and cleaning. 3. Provide timely and professional ongoing management of clinical trial data by identifying and resolving errors and inconsistencies of data in accordance with study submission/completion guidelines. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Business or related field. A minimum of 2 years' experience coordinating multiple projects and or process improvements. Must have driver's license and use of vehicle.

Ability to work with skilled nursing facility personnel. 3. Excellent interpersonal skills. 4. Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment. 5. Ability to work with minimal supervision and to find effective solutions for challenging data collection problems. 6. Local travel will be necessary on a regular basis. Access to a vehicle is required. 7. Marketing skills and be comfortable making calls on Skilled Nursing Facilities. Technical skills: 1. Ability to use a personal computer 2. Microsoft Office products 3. Email and WWW programs 4. Database programs

Desired Qualifications: Preferred Credentials: Registered Nurse in state of Colorado. Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field desirable. Familiarity with nursing homes and nursing home research desirable. Experience with clinical research, clinical trials and/or familiarity with the academic medical setting is preferred. Project management experience or experience managing multiple priorities preferred.
