The Department of Philosophy at St. Lawrence University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position. The position will begin August 2014 and is potentially renewable for additional years. The position will entail teaching three undergraduate courses per semester, including at least one at the introductory level. AOS and AOC: Open. We seek an individual who can teach Ancient Greek Philosophy and Critical Race Theory, Africana, or Latin American Philosophy. The successful candidate will also be expected to team-teach a course for our First-Year Program. Candidates must offer evidence of excellence in teaching and be qualified to teach courses in introductory philosophy. The ability to teach Critical Thinking or Reasoning is also highly desirable.
