Responsibilities

Performs media related tasks, researches and learns new software, instructs faculty, staff and students. Sets up and operates video and other equipment for meetings when needed.



Minimum Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of multimedia design and production processes.
  • Knowledge of at least two forms of multimedia including audio, video, graphics, animation, and photography.
  • Knowledge of multimedia hardware and software.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of more than two forms of multimedia including audio, video, graphics, animation, and photography.
  • Significant experience with multimedia development.
  • Experience with media compression technology, processes and production.

Responsibility / Duty

Performs media related tasks using web design, graphic design, motion graphics, advanced digital video, advanced digital photography, advanced audio, and lighting techniques.

Responsibility / Duty

Researches and learns new software and media technologies in order to introduce them into the classroom environment. Introduces new technology into the classroom environment.

Helps to oversee student workers.

Responsibility / Duty

Researches solutions to technology issues. Troubleshoots and solves complex problems in a creative cost effective manner. Troubleshoots Mac and PC related issues when needed.

Creates training resources (video, web, text-based) and workshops on software and technology.


Percent of total time 15

Responsibility / Duty

Teaches faculty, staff and students how to use the software and technology through tutorial videos, workshops, classroom instruction, and one-on-one tutoring. Learns, teaches and administers web tools.


Percent of total time 15

Responsibility / Duty

Operates, performs setup, and teaches about cameras and lighting both for video and photography. Also manages,repairs and checks-out equipment and keeps track of equipment borrowed.

Performs bookkeeping tasks related to the check in/out of camera gear.

Performs other duties as assigned.
