Anticipated Salary Range
This position will be filled at the annual salary of $25,100.00.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and one year experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to five years. Prior customer service experience. Experience working with detailed information. Computer skills to include experience with Microsoft Office Suite or comparable software. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to compile, organize and analyze financial data. Ability to counsel students on financial aid and university matters and apply federal, state and university rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with others.

Background Check Requirements
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check to include fingerprinting.

Confidentiality Policy
This position requires compliance with University confidentiality policies.

Preferred
Knowledge of financial aid program regulations and policies.

Schedule
Schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Responsibilities
This position is responsible for verifying, awarding and revising aid to specific financial aid programs and processes within the Special Programs Section. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to analyze, evaluate and determine financial aid awards to students. This position will also take the necessary corrective actions as needed to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Institutional policy. The responsibilities will include the awarding, revising, verifying and monitoring of all state, private, foundation and institutional scholarships as well as, reviewing other state and university grant programs. This position will be responsible for completing and reviewing disbursement reports as well as scholarship and grant award data. This position will be responsible for awarding aid according to Federal, State and Institutional policies and procedures which ensures accurate and timely dissemination of financial aid funds to students. This position will review and interpret regulations in reference to financial aid awarding requirements, to ensure continued eligibility and reviews various reports to ensure compliance. Assist with other sectional processes including but not limited to Satisfactory Academic Progress, Graduate Waiver reviews as well as verifying all program appeals. Provides continuous financial aid assistance and counseling services on a daily basis to students, parents, university staff and others regarding the financial aid awards and processes by email, telephone, in person and/or workshops. Advises students and/or parents if additional information is necessary to complete and expedite the evaluating and awarding process.
