Summary: West Virginia University Research Office in Morgantown, WV, is seeking a Professional Technologist 2. The position oversees the development and implementation of the graphical design and website development for all websites and major applications at the VP for Research and Economic Development Office. This position will coordinate and implement many types of web technologies including responsive design, flexible grid systems and progressive enhancement techniques. Has oversight for design for slideshows, videos, Facebook, Twitter, other social media, HTML e-mail design and validation and designs that integration with print pieces. Oversees web calendars, blogs, and forms. Will report dually to the WVU Research Corporation Director of Communications and the Director of University Relations-Web. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphics Art preferred but Computer software, Management Information systems, Computer engineering or other related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Also requires 2 years’ experience in each of the following: Web design in Photoshop, Fireworks, or Sketch; writing CSS (cascading style sheets); and converting Photoshop to HTML5, XHTML, CSS3.
