Position Summary: The Department of Health Behavior at the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill is seeking to hire a fixed-term Lecturer to teach Capstone I & II (HBEH 746 and HBEH 992), which is a year-long course that provides MPH students with opportunities to prepare for, reflect upon, synthesize, and generalize from their Capstone projects. The individual filling this position will be responsible for teaching the course in both the spring and fall semesters and will be responsible for updating and revising the course content consistent with the School's goals for core courses. The individual will also be expected to contribute to other teaching in the Department consistent with her or his background and the Department's overall academic needs. Initial appointment will be for a period of one year.

Education Requirements: Master's Degree required, MPH preferred

Qualification and Experience: The candidate must have experience teaching master's levels courses, working administratively with academic training programs and working with community agencies on training experiences for students. The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years experience in helping to direct all aspects of an MPH program in Health Behavior or Community Health. This includes experience with directing Capstone teams, overseeing practicum experiences, and providing career advice to master's students. The ideal candidate would have experience in curriculum development, program evaluation and in working with communities around disease prevention and health promotion activities.
